Blog or Read... Blog or Read?

I've been absent from blogging partly because I've been consumed with baby classes, baby showers, cleaning up and prepping for this crazy new stage of life.  35 weeks! Can you believe it?

Today's post was a result of an important decision I had to make. Blog or read???  Well, I have some baby literature that I should be reading, but instead I've actually been engrossed in a new book released in early April called Tribes of Eden by Bill Thomas.  If you're not aware of Bill Thomas, he is "an international authority on geriatric medicine and eldercare" according to Wikipedia.  He has offered to do an interview for my blog which I'm very excited about so hopefully in the next few weeks, I'll have another post allowing you to learn a little bit more about the author.

Now I must warn you that it's hard to win me over as a reader.  I used to love reading and actually was even given rights to check out a few extra books in the Media Center in elementary school. But over the past 10+ years I really have lost interest in reading and especially reading fiction.  If I start a book and it doesn't interest me after five minutes, I give up quickly and GoodWill wins another donation.

Tribes of Eden is actually a book about aging.  A novel about old people??  Initially I wasn't too convinced by the idea, but I gave it a try and like I told you, I'm having trouble getting to bed at a decent time.  Check out the trailer below, visit TribesofEden.com, or buy the book from Amazon (5 star ratings from all the reviewers).  I think you'll be quite pleased.  More to come so stay tuned!
